Fine leaved grasses that are rarely fed are susceptible to attack from this fungal disease. Irregular patches of bleached grass, later turning pinkish can be seen in late summer or autumn. Small red needle-like growths protruding from the leaves of grass will be seen. Although unsightly it does not kill the lawn,bleached patches do often recover.
Feed the lawn - every spring & summer with a high Nitrogen lawn feed ie Phostrogen all Purpose Plant Food.
