Red Spider Mite
An extremely tiny sap sucking mite with species affecting outdoor/ glasshouse/conservatory plants. Relishing hot/dry conditions. Feeding damage causes affected leaves to become mottled/speckled bronze colour, falling prematurely. On badly infested plants a fine white webbing over the leaves maybe seen. Red Spider Mites breed rapidly under warm conditions with strains of this pest showing resistance to certain pesticides. Product Solution: Where possible spray plants with water regularly to increase humidity and keep the plants moist.
